You know, kids really do say the craziest things. Here’s some recently overheard chatter in our house:
Eric: Daddy, can you come outside & have a bike ride with me?
Daddy: Eric, go ask your Mother
Eric: Mommy, can Daddy come outside & have a bike ride with me?
Eric: Daddy, I need you ask you sumkin
Daddy: What’s that Eric?
Eric: Well, you see, (followed by numerous pauses, false starts & hums & ahhs) Daddy, I need to ask you sumkin….
Nathan: Who bought this table?
Mommy: I did
Nathan: Who bought this pen (paper, food, napkin, substitute any object in our entire house)
Mommy: Who buys everything Nathan?
Nathan: You do. Mommy, who bought this marker?
(And it goes on, and on and on…)
And they wonder why I am sloooooooooowly going crazy? Seriously, you come listen to this stuff & keep it together!
