Ahhhh….the weekend. A time for relaxing. A time for hanging out with the family. A time for chores & laundry & yard work & cooking & defrosting the freezer &….
Wait a minute. Didn’t I just say the weekend was for relaxing?
Not at my house. If it wasn’t for Saturday & Sunday, nothing would ever get done. We spent both days doing yardwork, replanting rows in the garden that were killed by the extreme drought or the extreme frost. (It was -6 C one morning the last week of MAY!) I am still not convinced the carrots are there, but my husband says they are.
We practiced bike riding with Nathan, who is really starting to get the hang of it. I was a bit surprised because he actually tried really hard yesterday. Often when an activity gets tough, he quits right away. We are trying to encourage more “stick with it” behaviour, hoping that makes Kindergarten more successful for him.
And don’t ask where that project is at. Your guess is as good as mine. I am soooooo good at waiting, aren’t I?!?
